Reduce your daily impact

Discussions on how we can live responsibly and save the environment

About

I grew up in a family that recycled mostly everything – in school we learned that you have a variety of ways to use up a whole coconut tree. You can eat the coconut meat, drink its juice, make a broom stick out of its leaves, cut up the trunk for flooring, and burn its roots and turn to charcoal. Whenever we cooked rice, we were told not to toss the water we used to clean it out – we can reuse it to water our plants or clean out the dishes later.

My childhood taught me what nature can give to me, and what I can give in return. I believe that we do not need to be politicians or philanthropists to save the planet. We can go about our daily lives, but we need to be more aware of the impact that we do on the environment, and how we can lessen it.

I hope to share some of the things that I have learned and have been doing in order to do that, and hope that it will encourage the start of a conversation (and actions) of how to live responsibly as human beings.
